COUNTRY HOMES

The Country Home is a three-storey, three-bedroom unit located near the Camp John Hay golf course. The main floor of the unit accommodates a living room with a fireplace, dining room, and kitchen area. The dining area offers a breath-taking view of the forest and the golf course through a sliding door that leads out to a porch. Also in the main floor are storage and powder rooms.

The uppermost floor features the master’s bedroom, which has its own toilet and bath, while two smaller bedrooms share a common toilet and bath. A spiral staircase leads to the attic that can be converted into a multi-purpose room.

The maid’s quarters and utility area are located in the basement.

The Country Homes are built with a solid concrete base and pre-fabricated imported steel frames. The walls and ceilings utilize gypsum board, which acts both as a fire-retardant and as insulation from varying weather conditions, while the floors are made from engineered medium-density fiber veneer oak. The roofing consists of asphalt shingles and the exterior walls are made from concrete-fiber hardiboard.

The Country Homes were designed by RR Payumo & Partners and built by Sundt Construction. Landscaping was done by Golforce utilizing various flowering plants found in Baguio, adding a simple but warm touch to enhance the design.

For safety, the units are equipped with smoke and fire alarms that will eventually be connected to the Camp John Hay Fire Department.

There are three types of Country Homes: the Flat Type, with a floor area of TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE (225) square meters; and the Uphill and Downhill Types, with floor areas of TWO HUNDRED FIVE (205) square meters. Only a total of 27 Country Homes will be built. Construction time for a single unit is estimated at 9 to 12 months.

Units are turned over to unit owners semi-finished, but not furnished. Furnishings shall be installed according to the preference and for the account of unit owners. Included in the finishing are the following: modular cabinets, counter tops for the kitchen and toilets and baths, pinlights or downlights, and two coats of base paint for the walls.
